In terms of stabilization performance and build quality both the SP-PRO and SP-PRO Gen. 2 are on par with one another.
Here are some features the SP-PRO Gen. 2 has that the SP-PRO does not:
- The SP-PRO Gen. 2 has a new and fresh look with red outlining making it a very attractive gimbal.
- The SP-PR Gen. 2 allows the adjustment of the horizontal axis arms to accommodate a wider range of smartphones without the need of a counter weight.
- The SP-PRO Gen. 2 has a built-in Scroll Wheel for precise camera settings (accessed through the EVO app).
- A new battery life of up to 14 hours and higher payload of 260g.
