Motion Time Lapse

I have noticed that selecting 2 points does not accomplish the goal of a smooth transition from point 1 to point 2. There is basically about half of the run that the gimbal does not move and then after about 50% time when it does move. When I select multiple points the same behavior occurs between points. Am I doing something wrong?
