If you are having troubles with your gimbal vibrating there are a few simple things you can check to fix the issue:
- (Most Common) Please ensure you are tightening both thumb screws enough so that the camera sits leveled and the u-bracket holds the camera tight to the mount. If the camera is loose this can cause unwanted vibrations during use.
- Inspect both golden thumb screws to make sure they are straight and not bent - check the threading on the screws to ensure they are clean. Bent thumb screws or dirty threads can prevent the bracket from fully tightening around the camera so be sure to check that this is not causing the issue.
- Make sure you are performing the proper startup sequence as detailed in your user manual. Simply power on your gimbal on a flat non-moving surface and wait for about 5 seconds.

After thoroughly checking steps 1-4, if you are still experiencing vibrations in the unit you will want to inspect the gimbal to ensure both axis arms are perfectly perpendicular to one another. Please see the image below for a visual example of a GP-PRO that had a bent motor arm:
To fix this issue you can carefully bend the motor arms back into alignment using two hands. Make small adjustments and check with a piece of paper or a protractor to ensure that the Pan, Roll and Tilt motors are perpendicular (90 degrees) to one another.
If your motors are out of alignment then this will cause vibrations to occur in certain handle positions or camera angles. If you do not have a case for your gimbal it is recommended to use a golf club head cover to protect it.
