For non power issues please check these trouble shooting tips below. 99% of the time it is a grounding issue which can be fixed in either of these 3 steps outlined below:
A few things you can check to fix the issue:
#1 - Check to make sure the batteries are fully charge and that both batteries are inserted into the gimbal correctly (+ positive side goes in first). It is required to have both batteries installed for the unit to operate.
#2 - (Most Common Issue) -> Please make sure both your battery cap and battery extension tube are fully tightened. A loose cap or tube can cause a bad ground and no power or intermittent power issue.
#3 - Unscrew your extension tube and battery cap and inspect the parts for slight corrosion or contaminants on the polished ring surfaces. A build up of film or corrosion can occur if you leave the batteries in the unit for prolong periods of time - especially in humid conditions or close to the ocean. Similar to a flashlight a very minute amount of electrolysis can occur causing a small amount of corrosion or contaminants to build up over time on the polished ground surfaces of the battery cap and extension tube. This results in a poor ground which can lead to intermittent shut downs or no power issues.
Please refer to the diagram below to ensure these grounding surfaces are clean. If you find they are dirty simply clean them with a cloth and rubbing alcohol and / or a wire brush. They should look silver as in the diagram.

Yup! This works! We were by the ocean and good amount of corrosion was on the polished surface.
